Good Chinese food for the Southside. Pretty competitive prices too. A small order of Shrimp Broccoli with White Rice was enough to fill me up for the day. No complaints here. Remember to ask for chop sticks if you order delivery! 10-15 minutes does NOT mean 10-15 minutes LOL...at least for delivery... Good Seinfeld episode back story...

Some of the Best Damn Chinese Food in the greater Southland!!! Always fast, hot and delicious!!! Super amounts of food for the amount you pay for!!!All the food freshly made to order as you wait.....you can call ahead or deliver if you wish!!! The place doesn't look like much from the outside but the food is amazing & they take care of you really fast!!! No sitdown for wine & dine but who cares??/Bottomline this place is Great for the price-value and good eats!!!

Absolutely amazingly good Chinese food. Always fresh and hot from the "wok," you can tell that every dish is made to order, you can even specify the degree of spice that you want for each dish - mild, medium, or spicy. Food is amazing, value is great, but service isn't that great and for that reason I am giving 4 stars instead of 5. I honestly think this place has better tasting Chinese food than Chi Tung.

My parents have gone there for over 20 years and now my sister and I carry on the tradition whenever we go to Blue Island. Best Chinese food EVER. Their food is full of flavor! I could eat their beef fried rice for days. They even gave us free chicken wings with our order!!!

I have ordered from this place twice, and it's been pretty good food for a good price both times.

My family and I love Mr. Chop Suey. We eat here at least once a week. They are always fast in making our order and the food is always fresh and hot. My go to is the Hunan Shrimp, I've never liked chicken fried rice at any other Chinese restaurant, but love it here.

Yes for Chinese food in this area this is the best you're ever going to find . so far everything that I order from them has been absolutely great. I have tried all the time these places around Alsip and this one does do Chinese the way everybody would like it.

Whenever we go visit my parents in BI, my mom cooks for us like there is no tomorrow. For once, we let her take a break from cooking. My dad was craving some Chinese food so we headed over to Mr. Chop Suey for some take-out. Atmosphere I looked online for a menu and nothing. You need to physically go to this place to see what is on the menu (no menus to-go either, bummer). This place has probably seen better days - it is not somewhere where you'd want to dine in as you're looking out to a parking lot, the tables/chairs are not very clean or comfortable and there was no A/C despite it being really hot outside. Given that there were several people waiting for carry out orders, this seems to be the norm. Food We ordered several items including: shrimp & chicken fried rice, chicken chop suey, orange chicken, crab rangoon & overall they were all very good & the portions were huge. Everything was really hot and we could tell it was made fresh to order. I was also surprised at how neatly packaged everything was and the lack of grease - awesome. I will say though that the orange chicken was not as spicy as advertised (did not taste spicy at all) and it looked a little odd since it was a really bright, almost neon red color. This was probably my least favorite so minus 1 star. Service Our order was ready in 15 minutes and he even threw in some chicken wings for free for placing a large order - awesome! (and I'm glad he did since apparently they were really good - the wings were gone fast!) My one small gripe was that even with probably like 15lbs of food ordered - we only got 2 fortunate cookies (I know, she got real greedy). Overall, we got a ton of decent Chinese food, fast and friendly service for under $40. When we're back in town and looking for Chinese food, we'll defs hit up this place again (but will probably stay away from the orange chicken) - if only they had menus so we could get delivery!

Hands down, some of the best Chinese food I've ever had!! It's cheap, made fresh to order. I've had a lot on the menu -- egg foo young, chop suey, mongolian beef, fried rice, pot stickers and egg rolls -- everything was delicious!! Nothing I've had is too greasy. Definitely check it out!

Love the chop. The $3.50 specials are the best. Wish they would have someone answering the phones who spoke better English though

Chinese Cuisine

The popularity of Chinese food in America can be adjudicated by the appearance of China Town in many major cities in the United State of America. The popular trend of ordering or opting for Chinese take away food isn't unknown in America. Chinese take away food comes to rescue when you're too tired from work or too exhausted to cook. No one can resist the temptation of eating spicy noodles, shrimp, chicken, beef or pork cooked in the sweet and spicy sauce. The cooking method of authentic Chinese food is a lot different compared to what is served in America.

Generally, Chinese use dark meat small bones and organs to cook dishes but this changes when you are eating American-Chinese fusion food prepared using white boneless meat cooked with broccoli, carrots and onions. Back in China, the food is less spicy and oily as they favor steaming and braising method for cooking the most popular dishes. So, if you have a taste for authentic Chinese food, then try finding a real Chinese restaurant in the city. You can also try the most popular fusion Chinese food like Pecking Duck, Chicken Feet, Hot Pot, Shrimp Dumpling Soup, Mapo Tofu, Wontons, Chop Suey, Egg Rolls and not to forget Fortune Cookies.

There are not many restaurants in America serving authentic Chinese food. A little research on Restaurant Listings directory can help you locate the best Chinese restaurants in the city. Chinese cuisine is continuously evolving, and you can find a variety of dishes categorized as the food for lactose intolerant, gluten intolerant, vegan, vegetarian, and diabetic friendly. So, if you have a group of friends with different taste patterns, save the hassle and visit the nearest Chinese restaurant in your city.
